Making Investments in Existing County Assets

Did you know that in addition to the County’s Capital Plan, General Services also oversees the Major Maintenance Implementation Plan (or “MMIP” for short).

While the Capital Plan is a 5-year planning document, the MMIP is a 2-year operational plan that feeds into the annual budget process. MMIP project types are generally significant investments in existing County facilities. This can include renovations, new mechanical or electrical equipment, roof replacements, repair of structural systems like windows and doors, or new play structures at County parks.

The Draft Capital Plan is available and we want to hear from you! In addition to Capital Project funding, we plan to invest significantly in upcoming Major Maintenance projects. This ensures that the facilities you’re already using remain at their optimum best and our team can continue to provide critical services and resources to the community. We invite you to familiarize yourself with this plan and reach out with any questions.
